Privacy
Little Chapter is preparing personalised picture books. Orders and customer accounts are not open yet. You can currently browse the site and join our launch email list.
Your launch signup
We collect an adult email address, the time and source of the request, subscription status and a record of your consent to launch news and occasional product updates. We do not ask for your name, a password, a child's details or payment information. Your subscription starts when you submit the signup form.
We use Cloudflare to serve the site and Resend to send the welcome message and updates. Resend's configured sending region is Tokyo, Japan; providers may process information elsewhere under their own terms. The signup list is stored on our Australian-operated server and is not sold.
Use the unsubscribe link in your email to remove your signup and stop updates immediately. We delete the local signup and associated launch email records; an opaque deletion record prevents a backup restore from bringing it back. Provider logs may remain under the provider's retention policies. Legacy unconfirmed requests are removed after seven days; subscriptions are removed after twelve months unless you unsubscribe earlier. Contact us for access, correction or removal if you cannot use your email link.
IP addresses are used temporarily for request limits; security logs may also be kept by our hosting providers. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
When you contact us
We save the name you optionally provide, your email, subject and message privately to respond to your enquiry. Your message is also emailed to our team inbox: Resend sends it and Cloudflare Email Routing forwards it to the person who answers. We keep local messages for up to 90 days; provider logs follow the provider’s retention policy. Contact us for access or removal. Please avoid sending sensitive information in your message.
When book-making opens
The following describes the planned account and book-making service. These features are closed during the launch signup period.
What we collect
- Your account: email address and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself).
- Child profiles you create: first name, age, optional pronouns, interests and a short appearance description. A parent or authorised guardian must agree before a profile is saved.
- Optional photos: only if you choose to upload one, with separate consent. Photos are stripped of hidden data (like location), encrypted, and automatically deleted after 24 hours. Photos are not sent to any AI service.
- Your books and orders: the stories, illustrations, approved versions and order records.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare can carry traffic to our site and, when illustration processing is enabled, receives age, appearance, scene text and a generated character reference. Uploaded child photos are not sent. We remove the profile name from prompts, but automatic redaction cannot reliably detect all personal information you type. Do not put names, addresses, school details or contact information in appearance descriptions or story edits.
- Cloudflare Workers AI also receives age, interests and your story brief to draft the rhyming manuscript when enabled. We replace the profile name with a placeholder and omit the dedication; avoid personal details in free-text ideas. Automated redaction cannot identify every name or location.
- Stripe processes payments. We never see or store card numbers.
- Resend sends account and order emails to your address.
Some of these providers may process data outside Australia.
What we don't do
- No public galleries of children, no selling data and no advertising trackers. We do not train models on your family information. External provider processing and retention must be checked before enabling that service.
Your choices
- Download everything we hold about you from My library → Export my data.
- Delete a child profile (with its books and photos) or your whole account from My library → Privacy & deletion. Deletion is immediate and is also re-applied if we ever restore from a backup.
- Use our contact form to correct something or ask about your information.
